Ranger-led Activities in Big Cypress National Preserve

The Naples Boat Show is the largest premier recreational show in the Naples-Marco Island area. The show takes place Thursday through Sunday January 18-21 and features displays by marinas, boat dealers, and other marine related businesses.There will be a Kids Club with activities sponsored by Home Depot. Don't miss fishing seminars sponsored by Coastal Angler magazine with Captain Rick Murphy of Florida Sportsman's Adventures, Captain Rob Modys of Reel Talk Radio on ESPN 99.3 and some great local fishing guides. Pre-race packet pick up will be Friday, January 26 from 10 am - 4 pm at the main shelter on Airport-Pulling Road. Day of race packet pick up will begin at 7 am on Saturday, January 27 at the Civil Air Patrol Building at Naples Municipal Airport. Race begins at 8 a.m. Pets are welcome to participate with their Guardians, but must be leashed (non-retractable leash), up-to-date with vaccinations and cannot interfere with other participants or pets. Please only bring pets that are accustomed to this distance (3.1 miles). T-shirts to the first 1,000 participants to register. All participants are asked to line up according to pace (minute/mile). Finish times and awards will be based on chip time, so your net finish will count! Awards will be given to overall male & female and top 3 each age group (male & female): 9 & Under, 10-14, 15-18, 19-24, 25-29, 30-34, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80 & greater, and weight category for dogs. Finish line timing will continue for at least one hour and twenty minutes-results will be tallied as soon as possible.

The Naples Chapter of the Ferrari Club of America is proud to announce the 14th Annual ‘Cars on 5th’show in Naples. Set for Saturday February 10th, 2018, on Fifth Avenue South. The ‘Cars on 5th’ show is also about helping the community and giving to those in need. Donations from the attendees and individual contributions to our featured charities have raised over $850,000 over the past 13 years. The 2018 14th Annual Cars on 5th will benefit our featured Naples charity, St. Matthews House, which gathers contributions of food and clothing, the proceeds from which help operate food pantries and shelters to care for the homeless and hungry of our community. Structured recovery programs are also undertaken. 2018 will have over 125 Ferraris will be on display with a fine mix of vintage and current V-8s and V-12s from Maranello that are guaranteed to please the crowds. We expect to have several new 488GTBs and Spiders on display too! The British contingent will include Jaguar, Lotus, Triumph and the stately Bentleys. Porsches will be plentiful including some rare race cars. American cars will not be overshadowed, with over 60 Corvettes and other muscle cars expected. The Mercato section of the show will be bigger than ever with a multitude of businesses. Artists, jewelers, and automotive services, and accessory suppliers will be on hand to serve the thousands of potential clients at the show. To conclude the show all car owners will start their cars at 4 PM sharp for a resounding Drive-Off by over 575 cars. It is a fitting send off for what is to be another successful ‘Cars on 5th’ here in Naples Florida.

The Kids’ Fishing Clinic at Naples Pier is a one-day educational event conducted by the Marine Industries Association of Collier County Foundation with the help of the Outreach and Education (O&E) Subsection of the Division of Marine Fisheries Management, part of the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC). The primary goal of this program is to create responsible marine resource stewards by teaching children the vulnerability of Florida’s marine ecosystems and ethical angling skills. The Clinic also teach fundamental saltwater fishing knowledge and skills while promoting a positive fishing experience. Kids age 5 to 15 are welcome. All receive a free rod and reel until supplies run out.

The Parade is now the largest privately-funded Parade in the state. It draws over 40,000 people to downtown Naples each year to celebrate Irish heritage and Irish culture in America. The Foundation has donated over $200,000 to local high school bands and scholarships in the last five years.

You can start the day at The Dock at Crayton Cove at 9:30 a.m. with the traditional St. Patrick's Day Parade Flag Raising Ceremony. Parade Route: The parade will start on 10th Avenue South, go north on 3rd Street South to Fifth Avenue South, then east to 8th Street South. Parking: The city suggests parking in the two downtown parking garages. Plan to arrive early. Road closures: 5th Avenue South will be closed 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. 3rd Avenue will be closed 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The 2018 Marco Island Seafood and Music Festival offers a full weekend of fun. It begins on Friday, March 23 and the party continues through Sunday Marco 25. Bring the family and enjoy the annual Naples 4th of July parade. The parade route goes from Broad Avenue South to Third Street South,up to 5th Avenue South, then east on 5th Avenue South, turning South on 8th Street South past City Hall, ending at 8th Avenue South and 8th Street South.

The Naples Boat Show Downtown is the premier In-Water recreational show in the Naples-Marco Island area. The show will feature displays by marinas, boat dealers, other marine related businesses, food vendors and more. The show is downtown at the Naples City Dock and Crayton Cove on October 13 and 14. The show is FREE for the whole family! Wander through Crayton Cove, along 12th Avenue through the booth vendors and large boat displays, dine at one of the fantastic restaurants or grab a quick bite from a show vendor as you meander the Naples City Dock gazing at the million dollar yachts, even hop aboard! You won't want to miss this fabulous event by the Marine Industries Association of Collier County- MIACC.
